Sow 2-4 weeks before average last frost. Dig up bed at least 1 ft deep. Remove rocks and break up dirt clods. Add a 1 inch layer of compost. Soak Carrot seeds overnight. Mix with equal parts sand and scatter. Sprinkle fine layer of soild over seeds.
Water regularly.
Plant every 3 weeks until 60 d before fall frost
Once seedlings emerge, thin out every other. After several weeks thin one more time. Thin to 1 every 3" when 1" tall
Store up to 4 months. Pack in straw and put in a cool dark humid place, without touching. |
